I recently created Starbird Fish- a small, fisherman owned and operated business, based out of the Green Mountains of Vermont.  I spend a portion of my year commercial fishing in the pristine, and immensely beautiful waters off the coast of Alaska, from the far northern reaches of the Bering Sea, to Bristol Bay, the Aleutian Islands, all the way down to southeast Alaska.  As a USCG licensed captain, I work in capacities ranging from skipper to skiffman, on boats ranging in size from 32′ to 130′ which utilize various catchment methods, such as long lining, gillnetting and purse-seining.
